Contemporary home design is all about geometric shapes and clean lines. Simplicity is the name of the game here, as simplicity never goes out of style.
Fortunately, glass counters from CBD Glass are the ideal complement to a modern home design. Explore how our varied countertop designs for the bathroom, kitchen, and other areas of the home can add to your aesthetics in amazing ways.
Sleek, Single-Piece Glass Kitchen Countertops
Talk about perfectly embodying the clean lines trend. Our single-piece glass counter for the kitchen features a combination of two glass styles provided by CBD Glass, Aqua Clear and Ultra Clear.
Our Ultra Clear glass base is entirely translucent, whereas the Aqua Clear base provides a light teal coloration throughout. Another feature of this counter is the texture. Here at CBD, we can texturize your glass accent piece to increase its visual appeal and dimension.
We especially recommend texturizing glass counters, as there is so much surface area to work with. In the case of this happy client, they asked for our classic Melting Ice texture. The glass counter is 1 ½ inches thick and finished with glowing LED lights.
Angular Glass Bathroom Countertops
If curves and arches are signs of excess, wait ‘til you get a load of our bathroom countertop options!
This image is one example of many of what we can construct for you at CBD. Our experienced glass design studio in Toronto customizes each glass accent piece according to your needs and tastes, so these samples are only here to inspire you.
In the case of this pleased CBD customer, they requested a bathroom counter in a unique shape. It still has clean, angular lines but the counter has a wider base to make space for the matching glass vessel sink. This customer requested a Black Onyx finish. You can see the glass is lightly tinted black.
We offer a service called backpainting which lends a tremendous amount of color to the glass. You can choose one or several colors to make your glass counter complete. Our glass coloring service can be as subtle or strong as you like.
This happy client also opted for 1 ½-inch thick glass and LED lighting to provide a soft but effective glow that brightens up this otherwise dark-colored bathroom.
Creative Glass Kitchen Island
Perhaps you want to buck some of the modern trends and incorporate some subtle curves into your home design. In that case, you can’t go wrong with a glass kitchen island designed by CBD Glass.
We can ensure your kitchen island matches your new glass counters for the kitchen, or you could go in an entirely different direction with your design. At CBD Glass, we put the power in your hands to design your glass accent items your way.
You can see as much in this design example, which features dual glass kitchen islands. The first is a standard rectangular shape, making it right at home with the understated contemporary design preferences of current.
The second kitchen island is a bit more attention-grabbing. It features three straight sides and one slightly curved side. Also, glass cascades down the sides of the kitchen island.
Not only is this a showstopping and smart addition, but it’s also practical. Glass cleans exceptionally easily, requiring only a dollop of mild dish soap and a soft cloth.
To further jazz up their design, this CBD customer asked for our Ultra Clear glass base for understated elegance, a glass thickness of a 1 ½ inches, our Melting Ice texture, and LED illumination.
Luxurious Glass Tabletop
Also within our category of glass countertop services are our stunning glass tabletops. We can create a more demure, simple design that blends right in or introduce something that captivates someone’s attention the moment they step into the room.
The latter is what this pleased CBD customer was after, and our team delivered. This rectangular tabletop in our Black Onyx style has a subtle black base with white “veins” running across it, which is part of the customer’s requested custom design. They also asked for clear edges with a light texturing.
The top of the counter has no texture but is still special in its own way, wouldn’t you say? The angular metal legs of the table suit the ongoing contemporary trend of stripped-back, clean lines.
Raised Glass Bar Countertops
Having a home bar is a treat. However, you want yours to look sleek, like something you’d see on Pinterest or TikTok. Allow our experts at CBD Glass to help. We can install bar countertops to make your space easier to clean and ultra-appealing.
In the example shown above, our CBD client asked for Ultra Clear glass as the base with our Sandstorm glass texture. This texture has waves and undulations meant to mimic moving sands in the desert.
The 1 ½-inch-thick glass counter receives illumination from the inclusion of cool blue LED lighting.
This is maybe a little less simple than today’s contemporary style dictates but still isn’t overly flourished enough that it would stand out too much. If anything, your friends and neighbors might want to cop your style because it’s in-line with what’s modern while also adding unique elements!
